Application
Application periods:

15th of February 2025 – 31st of May 2025 for winter semester 25/26
Our application periods are the same for both national and international applicants. Our application process for the master’s program is completely paperless and free of cost. You only apply in digital form via our online application portal Campo (see below). You don’t need to send any hardcopies via post.
Applications are processed successively, hence, the earlier you apply, the earlier you will receive your result. Due to the large amount of applications we receive, it can take up to 14 weeks until you hear back from us. There is no limited number of spots, meaning that all qualified applicants will be granted admission.
The application for the Master’s program is to be made through our online application portal Campo. The portal will guide you through the application procedure (more details). Please select “M.Sc. Medizintechnik” as your study program. To choose one of the English-taught specializations, you have to select “Medical Image and Data Processing (in English)” or “Health and Medical Data Analytics” (HMDA) or “Medical Robotics” later on in the process. You can only apply to one specialization per application period. We apply the same admission criteria to all applicants, regardless of the chosen specialization.

REAPPLICATION:
Our admission process has changed significantly since the winter semester 23/24 intake. Therefore, admissions previous to WS 23/24 aren’t valid anymore and reapplicants with an admission from SS 23 or earlier are treated as new applicants again. If this is your case, you can simply apply as a regular applicant via our Campo portal. It is not necessary to submit your previous admission letter in this case, as it will have no effect on the evaluation of your application.
If you received admission for WS 23/24 or later and couldn’t enroll in the same semester, you can reapply via Campo for SS 25 or WS 25/26 (within the official deadline, with all required documents and with your previous admission letter) and we will admit you again – without you having to retake the digital admission test. If this is your case and you have submitted your reapplication via the Campo portal, please send an email to zimt-qfv[at]fau.de and inform our officers, so that they can process your reapplication as fast as possible. If you had initally enrolled and then realized you couldn’t travel to Germany within the official deadline for late arrival, you must de-register from our study program first before you submit your reapplication for the following semester.
